The $100 a Week Challenge: How to Save Without Sacrificing

Saving money doesn’t have to mean giving up everything you enjoy. Trust me, I’ve been there—trying to stretch every dollar and wondering if I’d have to say goodbye to the little things that make life enjoyable. That’s why I created the $100 a Week Challenge. It’s practical, doable, and—most importantly—it works. These are real steps I’ve tried myself, and I can’t wait to share them with you. Let’s get started!

Step 1: Skip Takeout Once a Week ($20 Saved)

We all love the convenience of takeout after a long day, but skipping just one takeout meal a week can save you $20 or more. Instead, I’ve started recreating some of my favorite dishes at home. Not only is it cheaper, but I end up with leftovers for lunch the next day. Give it a try—it’s easier than you think!

Step 2: Meal Prep and Use Leftovers ($30 Saved)

Planning meals used to feel like a chore, but it’s actually saved me so much time and money. I like to think of it as cooking smarter, not harder. Use leftovers creatively—last night’s roast chicken can become today’s chicken salad. Before you know it, you’ll see the savings adding up week after week.

Step 3: Use Cash-Back Apps ($20 Earned)

Here’s an easy one. Have you ever heard of cash-back apps like Rakuten or Ibotta? These apps give you money back on the things you’re already buying—groceries, clothes, even household items. It’s like getting rewarded for shopping smarter. I’ve saved hundreds over time just by using these apps.

Step 4: Cancel Unused Subscriptions ($30 Saved)

Take a few minutes to review your subscriptions—those monthly charges can sneak up on you! I recently went through mine and found a couple I hadn’t used in months. Canceling them saved me over $30 a week.

If you’re not sure where to start, I recommend using Rocket Money. It helps you track your subscriptions, identify unused ones, and even cancel them for you. It’s a simple way to save money without the hassle.

Saving $100 a week isn’t about making big sacrifices—it’s about small, intentional choices that add up over time. These steps have made a real difference for me, and I’m confident they can work for you too. Start with just one change this week and see how it feels.

What do you think? Are you ready to take the $100 a Week Challenge? Try it out and let me know how it goes. I’d love to hear your tips or success stories—feel free to leave a comment or message me.
